Our Statement of Faith

The Bible

We believe that the Bible, the 66 books of the Old and New Testament, are the inspired Word of God, without words error in the of the original writings. The Bible provides the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of humanity and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. (Deuteronomy 27:26; 2Kings 17:15; Ps 19:119; Is 6:3, 45:5; Matt 5:17; 2Timmothy 3:16; Ephesians 4:1-6; 2Peter 1:20-21).

God

a. We believe there is one true and infinitely perfect God who is the creator and sustainer of all things. He eternally exsists in three persons- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1; 3:22; 11:7; Deuteronomy 4:35; 6:4; Isaiah 6:3; 45:5; Matthew 28:18-19; Mark 12:29-32; 1Corinthians 8:4-6; 2Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 4:1-6; Colossians 1:16-17).

b. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal future return to the earth in power and glory to rule over the nations. (Isaiah 7:14; Hebrews 7:26; Acts 2:22; 1Corinthians 15:3; Acts 1:9-11).

Man

We believe God created man and woman in His image, free from sin. They became sinners by voluntarily and personally choosing to disobey God’s command. As a result of their sin, the human race is alienated from God and subject to His wrath. All people are sinners by nature and by practice. (Genesis 1:26-27; 3:1-19; Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 3:23; 5:12-21; 6:23; Ephesians 2:1-10; 1John1:8,10).

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who came from the Father and Son to convict the world of guilt in regard to sin, righteousness, and judgement; and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher and Guide. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in exercise of Biblical gifts of the Spirit.(John 15:26, 16:8; Titus 3:5; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:9; Ephesians 1:13; John 14:16; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11

The Church

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, and that all believers should assemble in local churches for mutual edification, encouragement, evangelism, service and worship. We believe in obedience to the Word of God, we share our love of Christ through participation in the signs of the New Covenant: The Lord's Supper and Baptism.( 2Peter 1:4; 1Corinthians 11:26; Mathew 28:19; Romans 6:4).

Second Coming

We believe in the second coming of Christ with His saints to rule and reign on the earth for a thousand years. (Zechariah 14:5; Matthew 24:27, 30; Revelation 19:20; 20:11-15; 21:28).
